On Monday 25th January 2016, Class 3 visited The Holocaust Centre, in Laxton, as part of our RE work. We learnt all about how horrendous life would have been for the Jews living in Germany and surrounding occupied countries. Also, it was a great honour to have an opportunity to meet and talk to a real survivor of the Holocaust. It was a very moving, thought provoking experience! Class 3 continued this work by writing poems, prayers, diary entries and letters back in school. This culminated in them writing questions for prominent people, who would have experienced or controlled the Holocaust, with the children role playing and hot seating as the characters.

As part of our efforts to involve parents in all school life we have introduced a Parents Forum.  These will be held every half term and all parents are invited to come along and share their views of every aspect of their childrens school life.  Following each forum the discussion notes will be published with any required responses.  We hope you will find this useful and could like to encourage you all to participate but as always if there is a more private matter you which to discuss you are welcome to raise it with either your child's class teacher or myself.

Thank you

Mrs Coupe.

Class 2 thoroughly enjoyed their special day as a time travelling pilgrim at the Southwell Minster.

We viewed the beautiful copes worn by the clergy and made prayer beads to support our own prayers. We learned about the ornate windows and searched for gargoyles and carvings in the Chapter House.

What a great day!

The Macmillan Coffee morning held on Friday 22nd September is the first

event of the year.  The event raised a staggering £400 with all of the funds

raised going towards this very worthy cause. A great big thank you to all

those people who supported by turning up, buying a cake and of course

donating cakes.

Well done everyone!
